Description
The Ruffed Grouse is one of the most spectacular game birds in New England. The markings on the feathers is just amazing. I placed the grouse walking in front of an old weathered stump that I wanted to use in a painting, with a light covering of snow. I knew the bird would stand out, but I also wanted an interesting background to balance out the painting.
